3. Who we share your personal data with
We never sell your personal data. We share it only with partners that help us run our business, and only to the extent necessary.
Service providers that process data on our behalf (data processors):
- Shopify – our e-commerce platform, which hosts our website, checkout, orders and customer accounts.
- Klaviyo – email marketing, newsletter and reminder emails.
- Judge.me – product reviews and review requests.
- Weglot – translation of our website.
- Avada – our cookie consent banner.
Partners that are independently responsible for their own processing (independent controllers):
- Klarna – if you pay with Klarna, Klarna processes your data according to its own privacy notice (klarna.com), which may include identity and credit checks.
- Payment providers and card networks – for card payments.
- PostNord and DHL – to deliver your order. We share your name, address, phone number and email address so they can deliver and notify you.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google – if you consent to marketing cookies, we use the Meta pixel and Google tags to measure our ads and show you relevant ads. These companies may also use the data for their own purposes, according to their own privacy policies (Meta, Google).
We may also share personal data when required by law, for example with the Swedish Tax Agency or other authorities.
4. Transfers outside the EU/EEA
Some of our partners, such as Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta and Google, may process personal data outside the EU/EEA, for example in the United States or Canada. When this happens, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, an adequacy decision by the European Commission, or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
5. How long we keep your personal data
- Order and accounting data: seven years after the end of the financial year, as required by the Swedish Bookkeeping Act.
- Customer account: until you ask us to delete your account.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Customer service matters: as long as needed to handle your matter, and no longer than 24 months after it was closed.
- Cookies: for the period stated in our cookie banner, and no longer than 24 months.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- get access to the personal data we hold about you (a copy, free of charge);
- have incorrect data corrected;
- have your data deleted, unless we are required to keep it, for example for bookkeeping;
- have the processing of your data restricted;
- object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and to direct marketing at any time;
- receive your data in a machine-readable format (data portability);
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing that took place before the withdrawal.
To exercise your rights, email customerservice@doseathletic.com. We will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY) at imy.se.
7. Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use:
- Necessary cookies – required for the website and checkout to work, for example to remember your cart, language and currency, and to protect against fraud. These cannot be turned off.
- Preference cookies – remember your choices (with your consent).
- Analytics cookies – help us understand how the website is used, for example through Shopify Analytics and Google Analytics (with your consent).
- Marketing cookies – used by Meta, Google and Klaviyo to measure ads and show you relevant content (with your consent).
When you first visit our website, you choose which cookies to accept in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the cookies in your browser and making a new choice when the banner appears.
8. Automated decisions
We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects for you. Shopify uses automated fraud checks to protect our checkout, for example by temporarily blocking repeated failed payment attempts. If you pay with Klarna, Klarna may make automated credit decisions according to its own terms.
9. Children
Our website and services are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We protect your personal data with appropriate technical and organisational measures. All payments are processed through encrypted connections, and we never store your full card details.
11. Changes to this policy
